Objective:
Explains how to set up and use Time Machine for automatic backups of your macOS system.
Steps:
Connect an External Drive:
- Connect a compatible external hard drive for Time Machine to use as a backup disk.
- Connect a compatible external hard drive for Time Machine to use as a backup disk.
Open Time Machine Preferences:
- Go to Apple menu > System Preferences > Time Machine (or System Settings > General > Time Machine on macOS 14+).

Select Backup Disk:
- Click Select Disk, choose your external drive, and click Use Disk.
- Click Select Disk, choose your external drive, and click Use Disk.
Configure Backup Options:
- Enable Back Up Automatically to keep hourly, daily, and weekly backups.

Restore Files from Backup:
- Open Time Machine, navigate to the date and time you want, and restore specific files or folders by clicking Restore.
