Objective:
Explains how to locate a specific folder in the Online Archive in Outlook on the Web.
Steps:
Step 1: Access Outlook on the Web
Log into Outlook on the Web:
- Open your browser, go to https://outlook.office.com, and sign in with your Office 365 credentials.
Expand the Folder List:
- In the left sidebar, expand the folder list if it is collapsed by clicking More or Folders.

Step 2: Locate the Online Archive Mailbox
Scroll Down to Find the Online Archive:
- Scroll down in the folder list until you see your Online Archive mailbox, typically labelled as In-Place Archive – [Your Name/Email Address].
Expand the Online Archive:
- Click on the arrow next to the Online Archive to display all folders within the archive.
- Click on the arrow next to the Online Archive to display all folders within the archive.
Step 3: Search for the Folder
Browse or Search for the Folder:
- Scroll through the expanded archive list to locate the folder, or use the Search bar at the top of the Outlook window to search for the folder by name.
Open and View Folder Contents:
- Click on the folder to open it and access its contents.
- Click on the folder to open it and access its contents.
Tip:
For quick access to the folder, consider right-clicking it and selecting Pin to Favourites if this option is available.
