Objective:
Explains how to change the login PIN used for signing in to a Windows 11 device.

Steps:

Step 1: Open Sign-in Options

  1. Click the Start menu, then go to Settings.

  2. Select Accounts, then choose Sign-in options.

Step 2: Change Your PIN

  1. Under the PIN (Windows Hello) section, click the Change button.

  2. Enter your current PIN.

  3. Type your new PIN, then confirm it by entering it again.

  4. Click OK to apply the new PIN.

Tips:

  • Your PIN is specific to the device—it doesn’t change your Microsoft or local account password.

  • If you forget your PIN, use the I forgot my PIN link on the sign-in screen to reset it using your account credentials.
