Steps:


Hard Reset on iPad Models with a Home Button (e.g., iPad, iPad Air, iPad Mini)

  1. Press and Hold the Home and Power Buttons:

    • Simultaneously press and hold the Home button (front of the device) and the Power button (top or side of the iPad).
  2. Continue Holding Until the Apple Logo Appears:

    • Keep holding both buttons for approximately 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears, then release both buttons.
  3. Allow the iPad to Restart:

    • The iPad will power cycle and restart. After a few seconds, it should return to the home screen.

Hard Reset on iPad Models Without a Home Button (e.g., iPad Pro 2018 and newer)

  1. Press and Quickly Release the Volume Up Button:

    • Press and release the Volume Up button on the side of the iPad.
  2. Press and Quickly Release the Volume Down Button:

    • Next, press and release the Volume Down button.
  3. Press and Hold the Power Button:

    • Finally, press and hold the Power button until the Apple logo appears on the screen. This may take around 10–15 seconds.
  4. Release the Power Button:

    • Once you see the Apple logo, release the Power button and wait for the iPad to restart.
