Objective:
Explains how to add an Office 365 account to the Apple Mail app on an iPhone or iPad, enabling access to email, calendar, and contacts.
Steps:
Step 1: Open Settings
Access Settings:
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Settings app from your Home screen.
Go to Mail Settings:
- Scroll down and tap Mail. This may be in the Apps section on newer iPhones.
Access Accounts:
- Tap Mail Accounts and then select Add Account.
Step 2: Add Your Office 365 Account
Select Account Type:
- Tap Microsoft Exchange from the list of available account types.
Enter Your Email Address:
- Type your full Office 365 email address (e.g., your.name@company.com) and tap Next.
Choose Sign-In Method:
- A pop-up will ask if you want to configure the account manually or sign in. Tap Sign In.
Authenticate Your Account:
- You will be redirected to the Microsoft 365 sign-in page:
- Enter your Office 365 password.
- If Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is enabled, follow the verification steps (e.g., approve the sign-in via the Microsoft Authenticator app).

Step 3: Configure Sync Settings
Choose What to Sync:
- After successfully signing in, you’ll see options to enable or disable syncing for:
- Contacts
- Calendars
- Reminders
- Toggle the switches for the items you want to sync and tap Save.

Finish Setup:
- Your Office 365 account will now be added to the Apple Mail app, and syncing will begin immediately.
Step 4: Access Your Emails
Open the Apple Mail App:
- Launch the Mail app from your Home screen.
View Your Inbox:
- Your Office 365 account should appear as one of the available mailboxes. Tap the account to view your emails.

- To customise notifications for your Office 365 account, go to Settings > Notifications > Mail and configure preferences for your account.

- Verify your email address and password.
